Become a Member
Become a member of the Canadian Seed Trade Association (CSTA) and join a forward-thinking organization that is focused on helping you meet your goals.
From plant breeders to seed bag manufacturers, the CSTA membership represents a cross-section of the Canadian seed industry. CSTA helps member companies respond to the rapid growth of new technology and deal with the corresponding changes in regulatory issues.
CSTA also helps members do business in an expanding global environment by providing a forum for this trading activity.
Membership Structure
CSTA consists of a Board of Directors, various committees and two primary membership categories.
- Active Members are individuals, firms and corporations made up of seed developers, producers, processors, marketers, brokers and others whose primary business is dealing in or selling seed (including licensing agreements), and/or seed technologies.
- Associate Members are wholesalers and other companies marketing seed-related products or services.
- Affiliate Members are organizations that share common interests and objectives with the CSTA.
- Committees are standing committees of the membership, and are the first step to developing and amending CSTA policy and strategies. Find the list of CSTA committees and their leadership here.
A CSTA membership is your vital link to the Canadian and global seed industry, so you can keep in touch with new developments in the marketplace.
Membership Fees
Membership fees are determined by the classification above and, for active members, by the three year average gross sales of seed and/or seed related technology.
